How creativity blossoms through being broke! Lol (DIY)

So I was straightening my desk and had mail, paperwork, and etc. stacked everywhere but it was clearly unorganized. I cannot focus it get things done effectively if things are messy and unorganized. I have to have order in everything I do and organized. And so I decided I wanted to go buy some stackable trays. I look at my bank account to see if I had money to spare and saw that I didn't. Lol. I looked up Office Depot to have an idea of the prices.

And I was reassured I didn't need to buy these write away, (says the unemployed person.) So I said to myself, "Man, I'll make me some stack trays!" I grab some Avon boxes from my mother and grab other things around the house to help me construct.
Before
Here I have push pins, scissor, tape measure, paperclips, tape, and of course, boxes.
After!

The push pins and tape is to keep the shelves sturdy and strong. Although paper items can only be used for light weight purposes.

Only one side the shelves had a flap. I took a paperclip and stuck it through the flaps in a U shape and twisted the ends together. I wish both sides of the shelves had flaps; the paperclip was very sturdy!

And here's the finish product in use! I thought about putting stickers or spray painting the outside of it but I had friend who came up with an even better idea. She suggested getting the wall paper on it! When I do, I will update the blog on this!

2012 goals!

Today I had a friend who shared his 2012 goals to me and then asked me about mines. I never thought to officially lay out goals for the New Years. Mainly because I feel I should just get started on them right away. However, him asking me that question made me think that I need to at least set them in stone by writing them out. So I will share most of my goals; however, some are a little to personal for the public. Lol!

And here they are......
1) Taking and passing the Praxis I and II
-- I pray that God will help me pass these test. These test are required to take to become a teacher.

2) Find a full-time job.
-- I hope to find a full-time job by the beginning of the year. Whatever the job will be, I know I will be grateful and will do my best.

3) Volunteer.
-- I feel there is so much I can do to help out in the community, and so I will! There has been so much the community has done for me!

4) Find a side hustle.
-- I'm pretty good with the simple software that already comes on the computer and so I hope that it will lead me to do a few graphic designing type work. So far here's my first Funeral Program. http://prozonetasha.blogspot.com/2011/12/funeral-program-design.html

5) Being a better daughter.
-- I am thankful to still have my mother. She has been the best to me. We all have caught attitudes with our mothers but we should learn to smile and say yes ma'am to keep them happy. And one thing I've learned is that if there's something that I don't agree about with my mother or our relationship, I give it to God to work it out, and it does! :)

6) Paying off some bills.
-- Of course, everyone has those bills. They don't go away but you can get ahead and that's what I hope to do when God blesses me with my full time job.

I have several other smaller goals but these are my main ones. Therefore, I lift them all to God and pray He will be glorified in it all! :)

Boney James!

I've been meaning to blog about this. I went to see Boney James and Will Downing with a friend last weekend and it was soooooo good! My friends and I screamed in excited the whole time. Boney is the best saxophone player and he is so smooth. He band was just as good as he was.

Boney was before Will Downing but about time Will hit the stage my friend and I were exhausted from hollering for Boney! I didn't even take many pictures of Will but he was good as well.

Don't throw your life away...

When I saw this, the first thought I had was, "You may have thrown your life away but you can unraveled. You are still alive."

I was moved when I saw this! "Open the Eyes of my Heart!" (Youtube Video)

This video is absolutely amaaaazing! The first thing that caught my attention was the title, "10 year old Blind Autistic Boy Sings Open the Eyes of my Heart." I was weak! (In a good way..lol) But seriously, as the video started, I honestly couldn't hold back the tears. All I could think about was, "There are so many people WITH vision who crucify The Saviour DAILY and never say they're sorry or repent and this little boy born with Autism and no physical vision sings "OPEN THESE EYES OF MY HEART!" On top of that, I noticed that 88 people dislike the video and all I could think of was one word: HOW? How can you NOT like this video?? It was definitely a blessing to me and all it made me want to do is enjoy God and spread His Love & Word to everyone!

Enjoy it and share your comments!

What is love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Why natural hair?

I did the transition for spiritual reasons. I want to slowly stop altering the way God made me. With that being said, I stopped wearing make up excluding lip gloss (lol) and wanted to stop chemically changing my hair. If my hair is thick, dry, and tightly curled, then so be it. I was scared at first because I didn't know how I would manage my hair or that I would look cute (insecurity). But I put all fear aside and started transitioning. I wore a wig the first part because it was hard to manage half-relaxed, half natural hair. I did the big chop in August 2011 and immediately my hair started growing faster.

These two pics above were the last time I had an actual style.
This pic above I had some to braid my hair and wore it wild while transitioning.
And below was the big chop, before and after.

Embracing my natural beauty :)

The pic above is the 2nd time I wore my twa (teeny-weeny fro) in public. I'm starting to like it more and can't wait for it to get bigger! December 2011 makes it one year since I had the creme crack. I am no longer addicted. Lol check me out!
